umm i think its a version 1.5b or 1.6 im pretty sure but one more question i have another xbox that im not using could i take my 250gig harddrive out of my xbox and just hook it up to that one

You need the take the eeprom .bin file from the other xbox hdd and put it on the 250gb hdd and then you can switch them.

No man as long as both are softmodded you just FTP the eeprom files from the one you want to use the hdd in to the eeprom folder of the 250GB hdd.
Then swap out the hdd.

And make sure you back up the eeprom files to your PC just incase, i like to wright the eeprom code to my xbox on the inside of the case.
You should find the eeprom code in the backup folder found in your root E drive.
Just use that with xboxhdm to make the hdd work in the xbox you putting the 250gb in.

k i got a new xbox that worked good and switched the harddrive to my 250gig and it still came up with error code 07

well the harddrive was already modded and i heard you could just switch them if it was already modded was that incorrect

If the eeprom on the xbox dose not match the eeprom .bin on the hdd it will not work.
You will need the eeprom from your stock hdd to use xboxhdm and set up the new drive.

Yep, just use xboxhdm to set up the hdd or format the hdd and use chimp to set it up.
We have all the guides for this in the tuts section and all the tools are on the aid disk.
