i just installed my chip and it boots 3 times then flash green and red any idea on possible fixes

I wold say its a bad solder point, make sure you got a good connection on all points and if your useing solderless try pushing down on the chip while you boot the xbox, if it boots you just are not getting good contact.

Nah it means D0 is connected and its making the xbox look for the bios on the LPC, and it cant find one. Check your LPC solder points, you might not have enough solder on them.

ok after i resolderd the pins, it turns on but the main switch symbol is red not blue

Red is saying the chip is turnd of, try pokeing the power button dont hold it in.

I know you said check solder points, but that could mean any of them. I gave a spefic area to look for them.

Yeah I just checked my modchip if it is red then you don't have it turned on. Blue is good and red means no power. Good call Wes. Very Happy Oh yeah I forgot you got that X3 chip awhile back. My bad. Very Happy

LOL yeah i get the red x all the time when i dont use the remote to turn on the xbox, you just need to poke the button real fast.

i have poked it fast, slow, hard, and soft, just like a prono. my attempt at humor. ok im still getting red X again green, and 2x blue lights are lit on chip. ok anyone know of pin numbers that might be causing this

Have you tryed booting by pressing the power and eject at the same time to turn it on?

Here, I was having a problem with the X3 Chip not working or not recieving power I think it was #15 pin that you will find on the Hyperlink I sent you below from Xbox-Scene.

I doubt thats the problem unless he went crazy with the soldering iron, although a picture of the LPC holes would be of much help.
