I'm having a problem with my xbox, when you turn it on nothing comes on screen, the light on the xbox rotates from green and red. I don't know what to do, I had an old xbox so I so I dropped the dvd-drive and the HD in it and now i'm getting a error#6 msg. I would like to know If it would be possible to fix the xbox that does not boot or use the old HD that boots with error #6?

get the mobo and the hdd it came with and softmod it to get the eeprom.

Or option2you can swap the eeprom chip from the mobo the hdd came from to the new mobo you want to use.

Option 3 get an eeprom reader.

option 4 get a chip.

Thats all i can think of.

Thank you for ur assistance I appreciate it very much.
Options 1,2 and 3 sounds good. However the probs is that the mobo and its hdd does not give a boot on the TV. so option 1 looks out. 2---- How can i swap the eeprom chip from the mobo? 3 how would the eeprom reader work??
