Posted: Tue Dec 04, 2007 8:03 pm Post subject: something went wrong! UnleashX won't boot now (sad face)
Okay I don't really know if this is in the right section or not because I don't really know if it has to do with the softmod or not. Anyways I was messing around with putting windowce.net on my xbox and now when I boot up my xbox it just goes to the main dashboard (the old original xbox one). But what I can do is go to my SID 4 installer user through my 007 games and access all of my mods there (such as my emulators, apps, and even launch the unleashx dashboard) and I can still ftp through the unleashx dashboard, but its just I have to load up 007 to get to unleash x now and it gets really annoying. I've already tried uninstalling the softmod and reinstalling the softmod...didn't work.....I don't know what to do. Is there some option of config.xml file that can make xevoxdash.xbe be the primary dash option when booting up my xbox? anything? please help.....
and if anybody needs help with psp modding, I'm your guy

Welcome to the HQ man, have a look around and have fun as for your prob have you tryed reinstalling the save exploit?

Thanks for the welcome! I'm glad to be part of this site now! anyways I have rebooting the gamesave exploit, but no luck. I can use the file manager on the game save exploit screen (SID4) to load up the unleashx dash. but its almost pointless because when I run an app/emulator from the unleash x dash, then exit the app, it goes back to the game save exploit screen. I don't understand, its USED TO boot up the unleash x dash but now it doesn't. and everything looks normal in all of the files too because I ftp'ed to the xbox and saw that everything was ok. still very puzzled...

Did you install duleboot softmod?

Try to boot to the AID disc and re install the dash _________________

ok I tried dual booting the soft mod or whatever but that didn't work either (like turning the xbox on with the dvd tray open/with open dvd tray button) that was a waste of a lot of time..no offense. what aid disc are you talking about, I used 007 for the game save exploit. unless that's another way to do it

It wasted that much time just pushing a button?

But its a big download so get ready to wast a ton of time.

ok no I didn't mean I just pushed a button, please don't be angry just this messup is getting me frustrated, what I meant by a lot of time is I uninstalled the single boot, then installed the dual boot, (didn't work) uninstalled dual boot, then installed the single boot again. but anyways thanks for the link I'll try that out. I really appreciate you guys' help

All good i never said to install Dboot just asked if you had dule boot on the hdd, the aid disc will have a ton of apps and dashes so you can try to reload your dash with it.
Just make sure to burn just the iso to a dvd-r or cdrw.

wait wait, dual boot or dule boot? I thought you meant Dual-boot as in actually installing the softmod. are you talking about something different? Well I have ftp access to my xbox, can I just transfer it? I have an iso extractor (winrar) Also, once I get the aid disc or transfer it, I'd have to launch it from my unleashx dashboard (or the SID exploit page), there's no way for me to read burnt discs from my regular xbox board. does this change anything? thanks again

If you cant get it to launch from disc then you could just unpack the iso and ftp it to your apps folder on your xbox.
