so my xbox crashed and now want to format my 320gb hard drive wd3200jd i bought an external case for it and it wont show up. it has an error it sees that i have an external hard drive but wont work help me.

Please note, PC's do not read the formatting that is on Xbox HDD's without the use of XboxHDM or something similar. Wiring a HDD from an Xbox straight to the PC without using XboxHDM will result in the drive not being recognised.
PC's read in FAT16, FAT32, or NTFS. Xbox HDD's are formatted in FATX.

Just use XboxHDM 1.9 like cloud stated. the tut and files are here for download.
