No REB the game saves are in the Tdata and Udata folders, the cache folders will be rebuilt on there own.

Just a thought but did you format the F: drive with 32k kernals. If not that may be your problem although I don't think the game would even load if it was the data corrupting from not usin 32k kernals. _________________

This is getting off track the prob is his games lockup even when playing from disc not the size off the hdd.
Bad ide cable, dirty lens, scratched disc, and stuff like that not hdd partition size or cluster size.

It could be the problem while playing the game off the hdd though.
If you have a friend take his ide and disk drive out of his and put it in yours and see if it fixes it. _________________

what does that mean?
He was referring to your IDE cable which is the gray cable connected to your HDD and DVD drive. _________________

Yeah I know it wouldn't matter if he didn't have that much on it but he never said anywhere how much he had put on it and games, music, etc.. tend to add up on size pretty quick. As wes said I'd try a new IDE thats about the only thing I can think of since its messin up when playin from your HD, it would also prolly cause those problems with the DVD drive, but I'm not 100% sure on that. _________________
