Well you can get HDD caddies for PC's cant you, with fixed solid IDE and power points on them for swapping drives over, all you'll need is something like that I suspect.
Would be cool if you did make it, make sure you get some pics.

You are telling your age with the blowing in the Nintendo cartridges!! I had to teach my kids that for their Gameboys!!! Somewhere I have my original Gameboy from when I was in Desert Storm. Talk about having to blow the dust out!!!!!! _________________ If it ain't broke, I probably haven't had time to mess with it.

True that sik, i may not be to old to blow in one but i do smoke to much to be blowing in them.
Cloud we might be the NES generation, but i got my start on the 2600 with a stack of games taller then i was at the time.

Same here man the 2600 was so great back in the day. Anyone here played an actual Colecovision before?? Those things were pretty badass back in then and addicting as hell. Why are old school games all so addicting? I almost have my xbox v1.6's 40GB HD full already cause I have so many old console emus & roms on it. _________________

Why did they actually take the extra fan out? I know that it was just replaced by a bigger heat sink, but why? I converted all of my games and my modded case to the v.1.0 mobo with the two fans. I figured two is better than one an day. Man you can really feel the air flowing out of the sides. Speaking of airflow, Radioshack here has Air Flow controlers for $13. I'm going to get a few today.

There's only two real reasons I'd replace a fan with a bigger heatsink, space and noise.
So two fans and smaller heat sink or one fan and bigger heat sink? Or does it even matter? Oh yeah, this is probably the quietest XBOX that I own, even with the two fans. Not a peep from it.
