Hey Slamscaper, I know you are very very excited to see some photots. I figured I would take some with just the ports and jewel. I am going to do the base now, then I'll take and post some more pics.
I love the jewel LED's...TEN OF THEM BABY!! You can't get any brighter than that...
Well, if you found a way to do 12 maybe..HA. But, these 10 are so close together, I think it's truly a max!
The only thing I am not happy with is the cleared jewel. You can see the glue somewhat and it's just not perfect enough for me...I know, I'm picky!! You can't tell with the light on, only with the light off you can see it on the edges. Gotta find a better glue to use. This puppy aint coming off though..hehehe...unless you pry the puppy!
Well, there you have it brother! I'm happy to do it for you!
I'll let you know when base pics are added.

That's why I made it so the base can just be either unplugged from the power source that plugs right into a wall outlet, or there is another clip where the power adapter meets the underglow base and you can just unplug it like an extension cord. Very nice.
What I like about this set up is, the underglow base is affixed to the xbox. So, it's not like it's a platform that it sits on. It is a fixture of the xbox.
It's pretty cool...

I'll just use Macromedia Fireworks and make an animated gif. You basically get different instances of an image and then put them into frames. Something like when you used to draw stuff on the corner pages of your notebook and then just flip through them and make it animated..
It's the same principle. Once you get all of your frames in order, you assign the speed of each frame, the looping or if you want it to stop at a certain point and then just save it as an animated .gif
I'll get one going for you asap.
