Oops! I meant Leisure Suit Larry is banned in Australia... WTF? I haven't played all the way through it... am I missing something? I can see not recommending it for young children, but to ban it outright??? Is this common in Australia? I know they sometimes get censored games, but Geez! Banning it on the entire continent*?

I prefer The Guy Game, but not for the expected reason... I thought I enjoy it for the nekked women, but actually most of the chicks ain't all that hot, IMHO.
The answers to the trivia questions keep me laughing my ass off! Such as: The two type of screwdrivers are Phillips head and _________. "Oh, I dunno... hammerhead?" Or What animal lays the largest egg? "OH! I know! The elephant!"

I'll take my hats off to the game studios for at least attempting to put some type of entertainment out there for xbox owners, and I recognize their efforts to possibly expand their gamer base by offering adult oriented trivia games. However, I don't think that someone will go out and buy an xbox just to play off color trivia games....But, it definitely is a start!
I'd love to see more of this, maybe "You Don't Know Jack" making a transition to Xbox too. I remember being able to play it on my Dish Network 7200 DishPlayer Receiver". I had the wireless keyboard and everything, it was cool.
The adult trivia games sound like a cool thing for parties and such. Not everyone is into gaming, and this is just another way to expand the uses this console has. Jeers to the censors for not recognizing that adults need to have fun too. Cheers to the developer for giving it a shot!

i hate when games are censored or banned. i especially hate walmart. all the cds are edited,no bad games at all. damn if you dont like it dont buy it. dont make other people suffer just because u dont like something. people have spent time and money on their games, etc and all the assholes are doing is taking away the money that they WERE going to make. this pisses me off _________________ XBOX

Actually, I like the ceonsored versions of CDs at Walmart. There are songs on the radio that I don't dare play at work. The edited versions usually pass scrutiny.
Also, I prefer to order my games online anyway... better selection and I usually get it quicker than the local Walmart. The 12 year old boys don't really even need to know that The Guy Game even exists, although the local video store has 3 copies (the same store that has 20 copies of Malice!). If I had purchased Fable at Walmart, I STILL wouldn't have it yet! I have a love hate relationship with censorship. After all, we have elected the ofifcials that lay down the rules, so ultimately...we have ourselves to blame. But, there are times when our appointed officials go too far..in my mind.
Truly, we should have control of what our children have access to..but, not in the sense where it infringes on other peoples freedoms. Now, I'm not about to get political or start preaching the right to this or that...don't get me wrong. I am so anti-political it isn't funny.
I used to own a video store back in 1987 and 1988... I had adult videos, but I kept them in a back room where people had to ask permission to go to. I didn't put signs up, I didn't advertise it. If someone asked if I carried adult videos...I showed them the curtain..HA. To display something that may have offensive language or images in clear view of my childrens eyes is wrong. But, to ban it totally from being able to be purchased is also wrong. That is someone trying to impose their own will on me or anyone else who would want the product.
If something is legal and has made it through the ratings system then I see no reason why it shouldn't be made available for the audience it is inteded for. As for Wal-mart determining what is best for me....I'll pass on their morals and values. I have my own and darnit...I like 'em. The fact that they offer toned down CD's is great...I applaud them for that, but they shouldn't limit it to just the people who are looking for that product. What's fair is fair. Just because you make something available for purchase doesn't mean you condone it's contents or actions...just that you respect there is an individual who may want it for themselves.

i dont like politics either lol. i agree with you when you said that people should have the right to choose what they want. governement, walmart, etc. shouldnt take that away from anyone. ill also agree with you guys when you said that censoring is good but its not good to censor everything. some people want the unedited versions of movies, mature rated games, or xxx videos and they should be able to get it somewhere without any trouble. _________________ XBOX

Actually, I think it's more about Wal-mart determining what is best for THEM! I think they view it as an "image" thing... they are trying to maintain an image that they feel is beneficial to THEM!
