Man im stumpt all i can think is the card or try getting the save files off you buds xbox.

This makes me think the save file is being mucked on the card.

I would try to use Xboxhdm to formatte the softmod on there by its self that way, with the hacked dash. i had to do that one time to help a friend.

I'm new to all of this. I don't know what Xboxhdm is much less what I should to with it.
