Hey,
I was softmodding my xbox when i smelled smoke i learned over and saw that it was sparking really bad i unplugged it and toke my hard drive out to see what was the problem ...the power supply blew! btw sorry the image is sooooo big i wanted to show you guys a good view though
Anyways i wanna know would it be easier to switch power supplys with the xbox that i have that has a code 7 or to just get a new hard drive for the xbox with the code 7? btw i have a video up on youtube that explains exactly what happened lol ...you can see where it melted at

One is as ez as the other switch the power is cheaper, i myself wold go with that if you know that it wont blow the new one.

anygood tuts on doing that i can seem to find one is there any soldering invovled or is it pretty much like hooking up a cpu power supply

it could be a case of a little solder to fix my sons did the same is sparks coming from were you plug the power led in
if so remove power supply unit turn over you will see were its burnt all you need is resolder there

I've got the daughterboard from my fried xbox v1.0 so if you need it, you can buy it from me. Otherwise you might be able to solder up a fix.

fixed it before i even saw the post googled it and i used that samn tut as the pic above shows thanks for your help anyway and it was the samn exact problem you guys are awesome i though i was going to get newb crushed..but no wow..
