Ok so i bought an AID 4.0 disk from this guy and it doesn't work in my xbox. What the heck? Is it because of my disk drive or is my xbox just being stupid? _________________ RastaCalavera

Its most likely because not every brand of DVD will work in every DVD drive.... _________________

First off... No one should be profiting from AID. Its understandible if you bought the dvdr for like a buck or whatever. Second off, is your xbox modded? _________________

Sad aint it if he wold have came here sooner he woldent have paid for the AID disc.
If you want to pay for it you need to be paying DJB.

Yeah well i tried sending DJB a pm months ago and posted a forum topic asking him to message me back. He never did. Whatever. Anyway this guy only charged me a buck and of course my xbox is modded. I am running unleashed (a soft mod by the way) but am experiencing problems with some of the apps. I want to install a newer version or a new dashboard completely. I can't do torrent files so don't even bother bring them up. (my computer is slow as hell) I can't ping the ip or to FTP cause it won't work for some reason. If you want to look more indepth at the stuff I've tried just look at some of my old posts. (there are pics) I am not a noob just a causal modder who is very pissed off. Any aid would be nice or someone who might be able to make me different versions of an AID disk so one of them might work would be awesome. _________________ RastaCalavera

Like I said, determine what brand dvd drive you have, then check out the dvd media tab to see what brands work with your drive. Then call up your boy and have him burn you a copy on a brand of dvd media that will work. _________________

Before you do that, I highly recomend checking your DVD Brand so you know if it'll work. Otherwise you'll be wasting abunch on shipping and all that. _________________

no, really.
thats why i've used it already in at least 3 xboxes that are all different versions
Maybe you would like to check out my tut for updating AID and burning to disc. Its based on AID v3.10 but will cover AID 4.10 also

I think I might be able to get a aid from someone now but the question is how do I find out what dvd drive I have? I looked on the AID site but it's server isn't working. I use to know of a wiki page that had when all the xboxs were made according to the serial number and what mods will work with what and the components they had, but that has flown from my memory. So where is this information? When I look for other modding sites I usually don't find ones that I like or that have the info i need, that is why i like this one so much. _________________ RastaCalavera
