OK firstly what kind of softmod are you using? I hope you're using the Dual Boot Hacked / MS Dash option.
Also you cant create a live account when you box is modded, you have to unmod the box to do it.

i used my unhacked hard drive to create the account, couldnt do it so i had to make it on the internet and transfer it over. because it was a 360 card. then i transfered it over, and it works jsut fine im just trying to get my hd back to normal. and yeah i used that option.
