I was currently trying to remove the softmod from my xbox and i think what i did was just remove the dashboard. Now when I turn it on I get error code 11 which i believe is "cant find dashboard" so now i have a locked hard drive with my backed up eeprom on it and i have no idea what to do. I have another softmoded xbox v1.6 that i can use and also xboxhdm ready to go. If anyone can point me in the right direction you would be a life saver.

Oh and I was also wondering if there was some sort of program out there that you can access locked HDD with so that i could maybe edit one of the xml files or something. Just a tought. Thanks for your time.

Ok well your in luck error 11 is not a dash prob its No DVD Drive found for this all you need to do is open your xbox and make sure all your wires are in place and tight.
Push the ide and power conects in to conferm a good fit.
If this dont fix it post back.

Unfortunalty it wan't that easy and im just a moron. I took apart my xbox the other day and did get error code 11 once but after i plugged the dvd back in it still got the dashboard error. Guess i should have paid more attention to what im saying.

Re check your connections just to make sure if that wont work see if it will still read a backup disc.
If it dose just use aid to reinstall your dash.

Let me see if i got this right. Even if it wont load my dashboard it should still load the disc i have AID 4 on. Or am i Totaly missing the boat here. Oh and i got an error code 14. Thanks for the help.

Worked great I guess all i did was delete the files from the c partition so i just copied the ones from the backup file on the E partitio nand away i went easy as pie well except for the getting it to unlock just at the right time anyway thanks

Wes I just read this discussion and I gotta say you are the man!!!! It does my heart good to see people helping people. Most places you go about modding they are like figure it out yourself newbie. But not this website....with people like you Wes the world is definetly a better place. Just wanted to post this so people really appreciate the help you give. I do what i can man, i aint the best modder out in the world but i know i can show the new modder's a trick here and thare.
And i do just cuz this site had my back when i needed help so im just trying to pay it back 7 folds.
