If your xbox is modded, try clearing your e/cache folder and the x,y,z drives. _________________

lol, now I know you're just trying to be like me!
CW, the most common cause of games freezing or not starting properly is down to temp files preventing it from starting as it should. So, as BG said, a quick clear of the contents of the E:\cache folder (leave folder intact) should solve you're problem.
Out of curiosity, are you running the game from HDD or from DVD?

Maybe, who can tell. All I know is, if it doesn't work first time, its probably the cache. Which in a way I'm glad of. I'd rather it be something simple like that than anything major.
