Hellooo everyone,
I've softmodded my xbox with AID 3.0 some time ago,
but when I want to go from EvoX dash to MS dash, I get black screen,
it's softmodded with dual boot (open disctray boots into MS dash, and that still works),
so if I recall correctly I've installed:
SID 4.5 NKpatcher:
Dual Boot Ndure (Open=Retail): This option allows you to power up your Xbox with the Eject Button and access the Retail MS Dashboard, which is good to use for Xbox Live. Closed tray boots your installed dashboard.
so now I'm downloading AID 4.1, how should I install it?
just format C drive and install it?
or with my softmod I have to unmount c drive (what does that mean?) for SID 4 and will there be an option (like in AID 3.0) to remove SID 4.1 softmod?
but my softmod is installed on the E drive? so how do I get a clean fresh install (since formatting C won't effect the old softmod on E),
so what I want to do: format C and reinstall MS dash on it,
remove my old softmod from AID3.0 (dual boot) and install latest AID4.1,
any info very much appreciated,
many thanks in advance ,
Kind regards,
take care!

Id say make sure you have a ms dash backup in your E:\ (it will be a folder called ms backup). If you do, go uninstall your softmod. Then reinstall them, it should fix your problem. _________________
well I used AID v4.01 to Remove the Softmod:
1st unmount virtual C drive,
2nd uninstall softmod,
now I'm trying to reinstall softmod with SID v5.01 (SplinterCell Pal),
but since I still have previous backups of eeprom and MS dash (from previous Softmod), I don't need to back them up again (folder E/Backup/MS/ is still there)?
I've tried the dual boot: Hacked Dash / Ms Dash, but 'Batch processing error', it worked after backup of eeprom & Ms Dash,
now everything runs perfectly!
Regards!

Good to hear you've got everything up and running. SID 5.01 and AID 4.01 are a great combination to get all the apps you need.
