Posted: Wed Mar 16, 2005 3:01 am Post subject: Help with creating xbc account/connectivity!!
I'm having problems trying to establish a xbc account. When I start up XBC application, it's telling me if I want to create an account. Since I don't have an account established yet, I proceedied to create new account. The problem I'm having is no matter what user name I pick, it's telling me the the name is in use. It's also scrolling in the XBC window that I'm unable to connect to the master server...Please try again. I'm new to online gaming with xbox and just need some direction on connecting to XBC. I tried connecting 2 ways. I tried with the 2 nics by connecting 1 x-over cable from the xbox to 1 nic on my PC, and the other strait-thru cable from my PC to my router. I also enabled port fowarding on the router. I also tried connecting 1 nic from my pc to the router and the xbox to the router. Anybody have any advise...

your firewall might be blocking access if you have one ,
reset your router and start from scratch ,
forward the ports , set the xbox to dhcp and use only one lan card on your pc ,
