I've reached the point where I've completed that process to the best of my ability and I'm now trying to install XBMC via AID 4.02.
I built an ISO of the AID 4.01 install and updated that with the AID 4.02 package to build an AID 4.02 ISO.
I've burned this to both a DVD-R and a DVD-RW.
Within the 'EvoX' dashboard I can't address either disc.
When I boot to the 'SID' menu, (poor description? - I just hit random buttons to get to this menu so a little direction there would be helpful as well! ), from the memory card I can address the DVD-R but only as a 'DATA' disc and the only file I seem to be able to launch is a BIOS patch process. The DVD-RW isn't recognized at all.
I'm a reasonably intelligent fellow but I'm perplexed as to what I'm missing. There's a lot of information that is difficult to parse and I'm sure it's something basic that I'm missing.
I've done various searches but can't seem to gather any pertinent information for what I'm experiencing.
...so, any thoughts as to how to proceed?
Thanks in advance for any assistance,

Your best bet is to try a dif media type. Try Maxell DVD-R or Sony, ive also heard that memorex is good too.
in order to boot SID in Evox its just in System settings - Boot settings.

Trying out different media didn't seem to do the trick. No clue as to why. I'm still trying that method though.
In relation to booting SID, what I was getting at was that I was only able to boot to the SID menu when I hit random buttons on the controller. Eventually, I narrowed it down to hitting the black button under the standard control buttons.
At this point, I've put a larger hard drive in the box using this tutorial:
Then I ftp'd the AID installer over to the box, placing it on the F: partition. Then I ran the AID install from there. I've got the default XBMC skin and overall install in place and I'm trying to figure out what the steps are to get emulators working...as this is my main motivation for all this work.
I'd say that I'm going about this in a non-standard way for sure - but I really do appreciate any help that anyone is willing to give.
So, like I said, I'm working on figuring out how to get the emulators/roms working, (I've got the roms already so it's just a matter of getting everything in place and running from the XBMC gui). ...and I've gotta' figure out how to change skins too.
...anyway, enough of my babbling. Thanks in advance for any help and assistance.
