Hello,
I have a modified Xbox with Xecuter (can not tell the version) and Evox (again can not tell the version).
I just downloaded the AUTO INSTALLER V4.01.
I want to upgrade the DASHBOARD with something that will automatically startup the HD-Load application upon power on of the Xbox. Who would know how to do this, or has someone here setup their xbox to do this?
I am pretty sure I can FTP into my xbox to change files. I know I have a large hard drive in the modified xbox.
I am just looking for some guidence as I have not done this work on my xbox in about five years.

Thanks!!
autoinstaller let me put a new dashboard on. Everything looks so modern.
Only issue I have now is how to get the old xbox to play DVD-R or DVD+R disks. I suppose this is going to be like my PS2, in that I need to burn slow, and I need to use DVD-R, or I need to set the booktype to DVD-ROM if I use DVD+R. At least it did read a burned CDR disk with a DIVX file, which is nice.

What dvd drive do you have? some of them, especially thompsons are picky about what brands and types they will read. _________________

my auto-installer disk was a dvd-r disk burned slow, that was able to be read by the xbox. I have no idea how to check what brand of dvd drive I have.
i suppose my dashboard might have a utility that can tell me?

I have the Philips DVD drive. Maybe it is dirty and having problems with the DVD? The drive did read my auto-installer disk on slow burn to a DVD-R disk.
One other thing I was thinking is that I burned all my DVDs pretty fast to mostly DVD+R disks. So maybe that is causing a problem. Maybe I needed to burn to DVD-R slowly to get the xbox to read the disks.
