Post subject: Can Not Boot to Softmod Screen Using Eject Button

I used SID 5.1 to softmod my xbox and I have setup XBMC to load as my dashboard, but I can not get my softmod to load when I
start the XBOX with the eject button. I used the modified .xbe and .cfg files from the TEAM XBMC. The first time I tried replacing the
C:\xboxdash.xbe file, but that gave me an error screen. I then found E:\evoxdash.xbe and replace it with the files
from TEAM xbox and that made the xbox boot straight to XBMC, the weird thing is that I loaded Unleash X as my dashboard, also the
XBOX now will not boot into the softmod screen with the eject button. Does anyone have any ideas. Thanks for the help.

Sounds like you used the duel boot option when you set up your softmod, if this is the case you will need to use Auto Installer Deluxe to unmod and remod the xbox with a single boot option so the power and eject button launch the mod dash.

Thank you for your reply. I did a single boot softmod standard, no HD or virtual C drive or anything fancy. I followed the SID manual. Any other ideas. Should I have placed the XBMC shortcuts in a different directory or replaced a different xbe file?

You shouldn't really use the shortcut method with softmods, i find it best to use Auto Installer Deluxe so there is less chance of an error 21. Wink
