I have not had any luck getting my box to read any disks from which I have burned the AID 4.0 ISO. I have tried CD-R, CD-RW, DVD-R and DVD+R media. I have burned about 10 disks thus far except for the CD-RW that I can still use I guess. I am attempting to use this on an early generation xbox with a Thomson (based on pictures from the docs) DVD drive. The system was soft-modded and I have installed both EvoX and XBMC via FTP, but I would sure love to use AID to get some of the other popular apps on there. Any suggestions welcome. If there is a thread here that discusses it, I would appreciate any thread links.... meanwhile I will keep scouring to see if I can find any clues as to why. Thanks in advance for the community guidance.

The best media for the Thompson is dvd-r and burn it at 1x-2x and use dvd decrypter to burn it and it should work fine.

I just used a new DVD-R with x2 write speed set and my results are the same. It would be nice to see an AID type of tool that used FTP as the method of deployment.

Thompsons are picky. Mine would only read Sony dvd-r. _________________

Finally got it to work... not sure what the combination that finally did it, but I know I burned the disk at 1x. I will keep this disk safe.
Now, I just need to sort out where my XBMC updates should go.
