Is there a way to FTP to the xbox with the original M$ dashboard or do I need EVOX or another dash?

the only way you can ftp into a xbox using ms dash, is by having a chip like x3 installed, that has ftp built in to the chip. other then that nope.

you will needa to use a different dash

I figure that. Just thought I'd ask and hope that by some chance I was wrong. Just picked up a used xbox tonight and was hoping to start soft modding but, unfortunately it wont read a cdr. Gotta wait till i can get to the store to get some cd-rw's Smile

do you have a modded xbox at all? if so and you have a memory card, you ca ntransfer the file to the memory card that way via ftp.

Its not modded at all. Not sure what version it is. Can I tell with out opening the case?

ccross025 on yahoo. I wont be online till later this afternoon... prolly 3ish (EST). I'd appreciate the help tho, I'm a total noob at this. I am a PC tech tho so I'm sure it shouldnt be too hard for me to figure out.. lol!
