The System has a samsung dvd-rom sdg-605B. Is softmoded with sid 4.5. When i put the a disc in for example the new AID 4 disc the drive will not reconzie it as anything. if i try to copy disc to the hard drive with complex tools it will ask for a xbox game or dvd2xbox will list it as unknown and freeze. I know the disc works because i loaded it my other system with has a mod chip and it loaded fine and also in my friend's who's also is softmoded.

I know its not the type of disc because i can burn mp3s onto the disc and it will read it no problem.

I tried both DVD Decrypter v3.5.4.0 and nero 7 to burn the images.

Anyone habe any ideas what could be wrong? or need info?

Well the thing is it use to work before i updated from XBMC 2.0 to a new svc (not sure which one now it was last month sometime now runing the one from aid 4 since it will read cd-r's) it stopped working. i've tried updateing it to newer version even downgrading it back to 2.0 but to no luck. its just werid though because it won't read xbox games burned to dvds but it will read them off a cd-r.

Yes When i updated i removed everything but my userdata folder and copied it.

Your problem is either:
1. Your drive wont read that brand of disk
2. You need to make the files an Xiso, which is a special xbox format.
3. You may not be able to run the disk because it is unsigned code and the normal xbox BIOS doesn't allow unsigned code.

What worked for me was to clear your cache---and/or put in a "real" xbox disc (the one you made the backup with) then it (the AID 4.0 disc ) will play.
