What kind of mod do you have, or are you trying to mod? If your trying to mod, there are much easier ways like a softmod. Also, I highly recomend that you dont even bother using evox. It would probobly be better to go with Unleash x or the new XBMC. _________________

No mods. I was going to hotswap it on. Is there a tutorial for XMBC?

Hotswaping isnt exactly easy and I really wouldn't recomend it to someone new to modding. Why exactly do you have your mind set on this? _________________

I allready know how to do the hotswap. I actually did just that to restore my original Hard Disk.
I want to setup my 2nd xbox to play videos and be abe to FTP it. I just dont want to buy another mod chip.

I gotcha... Personaly I think its easier just to do a softmod. Just transfer over the exploit, boot up one of the three games (Mechassault, splinter cell, or 007 Agent Under Fire), and it comes with the option of evo x or unleash x (way better than evox). It also comes with dvd2xbox and dvdx. from there you can upgrade to xbmc. You can also use ftp to make a bott cd for xbhdm. Personay I've done it this way quite a few times and find it really easy. It only takes about 5 minutes to do the softmod. About 10-15 for the HDD upgrade with xbhdm 1.9. _________________

Are you upgrading the hdd too, ccros? For XBMC, I believe you can use that to install xbmc to your hdd. Otherwise you can FTP to your box and run it as an app. If I were building an Xbox for mostly movies, I'd use xbmc as my dash. Its also great for music. _________________

Well I got my EvoX dash up and running using a hot swap method. I have it on my 10gb xbox drive just to get the feel of things before I add my larger drive. Everything seems to be working great... So far
