Ok here is the story:
i got an xbox here, but he has just broke up. I am 100% percent sure the HDD is broken. Everything else is still working. I have no warranty anymore, and i would be cheaper to buy a new xbox rather then let it fix.
I have no backups, eeprom, etc
Is there a possible solution to fix this xbox? i have expierence with modding so technical-talk is no prob

The easiest way would be to fit a soldierless modchip to the xbox and then flash the new modchip with one of the latest EVOX M8 bioses..
You could then buy a replacement xbox harddrive say 200gb and install it.
The xbox would be straight back to normal including having the original dashboard still if you wanted it..
You would download and burn whats called Auto Installer Deluxe v3 to a DVD-R or CDRW.. And boot this dvd-r in your xbox (fitted with a modchip and flashed)..
A menu pops up and you can format/reinstall or whatever.
It has 70+ dashboards, apps, emulators and other homebrew stuff..
Pimp your xbox up and run XBOX MEDIA CENTER..
anyway, hope that lends a hand.. Im sure you will work out what to do..
i searched @ google for a way without modchips whatsoever, but i guess i have to buy a modchip. So what can u people recommend me? Its a PAL xbox.

T4G, don't get me wrong either mate..
You could still softmod it rather then using a modchip but it would be a lengthy process. You would need to buy a new hdd and connect it to your pc so you can copy everything over and LOCK THE NEW HDD AGAIN..
Maybe the HotSwap Tutorial in our Xbox Tutorials section may help you.. Try searching for it.. Its written by pirrup who is another admin here on the HQ network.
anyway, good luck with it and if you learn something feel free to come back to post so others can learn from you.

Any modchip will do.. They all do the same job..
Heres a topic which may explain the difference between a software (softmod) mod and a hardware (modchip) mod..
and that HDD is broken. I cant load data of it anymore.
But is there a way, to fix this xbox without the original backup?
and to softmod 1 you need the backup of the old drive. (i softmodded xboxes before)

With a modchip you DO NOT need a backup of anything.
You can just use Auto Installer DEluxe 3.0 with a modchip and it will boot and install anything to a brand new hdd including formatting it..
With a softmod now thats a different story.. Im not sure if you do have to have a backup or not actually so i cant actually say..
I did hear (i think) that even if you dont have the backup you can still get your xbox back running again.. You just need to the original M$ Dashobard files again and to lock using your pc.
anyway, sorry i couldnt be of more help
got alot on and just trying to spend some time answering with what i can.
