Hey guys,
did a softmod about a year ago used SID 1.01 (i know its old, id upgrade but i dont have any access to the exploit games or a memory card anymore) then a few months ago i upgraded to an 80 gig hard drive a couple months ago using the help of you guys and this tutorial http://www.techfreaks.org/articles/modxbox2.shtml and it worked great, but now im finding that 80 gigs isnt enough, so i was thinking of upgrading to 200 or a 320 gig hard drive. But I wasn't sure if SID 1.01 supported LBA48 so i PM'ed DJB and he said it did support it and i dont think he understood my question which was how would i install a 200 / 320 gig hard drive, my current setup just has the C and E at the stock hard drive sizes as the original and the rest on F, if i used a 200/320 gig would it all go to F would i have to use G aswell how would i do this. ALL help is greatly appreaciated
(ps. i was poking around my C drive and found in the SID folder i had a bios.xbe so maybe that might have something to do with the LBA 48 )

The version of SID that you used on that softmod is indeed old and i doubt that any bios that it has is capable of the LBA48 patch. I would just download the new SID/AID and use that instead.

ok i decided to upgrade to SID 3.1 but instead of buying a memory card off of ebay (i found access to splinter cell) i was thinking, a softmod is just changing the software on the xbox's hard drive right. and i already made a hard drive using XBHDM to upgrade to the 80 gig, but i just left key items (C drive, certain things from E) but if someone say got me the files that would be on a freshly modded SID 3.1 hard drive, theoretically i could use those files and make a new disc for XBOXHDM and use it on my 80 gig correct? just a thought will it work though?

right if your box already modded you got several ways - i reckon you could do as you suggest if you got xbhdm i assume you could just plop the right game saves in the right place (sid) set up the hard drive lock with the eeprom plop it in xbox and use the exploit OR if you can ftp just ftp the sid 3.1 files over OR there is a way to make your pc think a usb memory stick is an action replay u need the action replay software should be with aid 3.1 dunno how you make your pc read a usb stick as action replay but when i get time will hunt down the tut for ya if ya want just a little cable splice required!
***oh just reread your last post i dont think it matters wot files you have from my experiance you have to do the softmod again any way its just the game saves etc you get plus ive had problems with my old game saves corrupting and if your upgrading sid u may as well do a clean instal
