is it possable to install a wireless adapter for a controller through the wirering of the controller ports so it is built in where you dont need to keep up with the adapter?

I have a Hip Gear LM616 wireless controller host that I imagine could be disassembled and hard-wired to a Xbox controller port.

It seems like a lot trouble though.

You can hard-wire a wireless adapter into your xbox. There's a couple of options, but the main thing you can do is strip the end of the adapter, then solder it to the controller port on the inside of the xbox. Match the wires color for color and you should be good. the advantage to this is, i believe, that you can use the controller port as well. Either way, strip the casing off the receiever to make for more room inside the case; then you can glue it to the side, or somewhere out of the way.

its not useless if you have these (pic below) bigass things sticking out your xbox.....

i had posted this on another site....this is how i did mine:

this was so damn easy dont know why i didnt do it before:

the kind of controller i have (not sure what others receivers are like):

1. crack open the receiver with a small flathead...its really easy pretty much pops right open

2. remove the big plastic piece mem card slides into

3. with a small philips remove the 6 screws holding the board in( personally after this i taped it all up with electrical tape just in case)

4. open your xbox and remove the controller ports, cut the plastic holding ports in half...try and keep the lil hole in center that hooks on notch on whichever port ISNT gonna have the wireless(i used 1 & 4 for wireless so 2&3 ports got screwed back in place)

5. just to be safe i wrapped any metal part of port in electrical tape too

6. lift up your dvd drive....plug the taped up receiver board into the port place it as flat as possible under drive and close the box back up

TADOW!!!!!! now you wont have big clunky receivers protruding out the front of your box.....

i havent put anything over controller ports yet but im guessing either covering them right up somehow or putting a piece of plastic there will do

I did this along time ago and it is still working. I did mine different though.I spliced it in so I could use wireless or wired on port 1. In order to do this you need to add a little switch to kill the power going to the wireless receiver or it wont work.

so wait you leave the wires intact? and use the controller port and plug in the controller like you would normally do then just bam and it works?

No I use another set of ports inside and splice into the ones in the front so I can use either but you do need a switch for it to work.

mightve been talkin to me....ya i left everything intact just took the receiver board outta the big clunky thing and taped everything up....that way you could always put it all back to normal if you want.....and it works flawlessly still.....ive got my box hooked to 2 different tvs in 2 different rooms and can play with the wireless in whichever room without moving box....

I did not alter my controller receiver either it can still be taken out and put back in the big bulky thing and it will work. But I like your idea with 1 Xbox 2 tvs.
