was updating xbmc and got error screen so i reinstalled the soft mod,that was the only thing it let me do, then i though maybe i installed on the wrong drive so i tried again and when it was installing it ran out of memory and my xbox is dead have tried to hotswap with new hard drive but it doesnt seem to work i used pirrups hot swap method and i have the eeprom i got the hd locked and i got an error message when i installed i have tried to unlock the hd but it says it is read only any help would be great thanks.

Ha! Thats one long sentence dude.. Ok, lets start over here. You were trying to update XBMC and you got an error. What was the error? How were you updating XBMC? Through FTP?
You say your XBOX is dead...why? Won't turn on, getting error?

just a note....if youre trying to update xbmc while ftp'in to xbmc...youre gonna get errors....
ftp through aid and youre good to go..... _________________

i was using aid and i believe it was error 22. it wont boot to game or aid just the error screen. i tried to use a bigger hard drive, i have eeprom. i formated and lock and still nothing now i cant unlock it.

format the hd and then make stock again....with original xbox files....and then start over with mod.... _________________
