through your modchip, it should have a function to back it up. _________________

thats what I meen how can I get to any of those options the only thing I can do with my chip is flash the bios is there any thing else I can try to do that?

ok so I got my buddys box with a chip in it and booted my 320 gig I dod have a backup of my eeprom on it but I am very confused all my games that were in the f drive are gone I see nothing I have over 100 games there and I never had this drive plugged in durring any of the softmod stuff. It also seems to be bare of apps what could have happened I only have half my games any more most of my backup the real games are destroyed. Is it possible this box is just not seeing the games?

ok well in the meen time waiting on more answers I have another questioon I got up the guts to try and soft my another one and add another western digital 250 the same exact make model as the first soft mod. I use my buddys box that has a chip in it. seemed to work just the same only afterwords I made sure I could boot up the box again with another hd and I then replaced the eeprom with its original and the end result was the soft mod takeing the 250 and my buddys chipped box still the same. Now all I did was but up aid with a new 250 gig hooked up to the chipped box. I formated the drive to be safe then I installed msdash and evox on e:\ I loaded config magic did my work and then put the hd back in the unmodded box. It booted as if it was just a normal box with msdash being as evox was on e: drive just to run config magic I then from msdash copied the mechassult game save and ran the game and did the soft mod right from there and now all is fine it boots evox right on start up now only thing is I am missing about 100 gigs on this one dont know why. it only sees my f as about 140 gig when on my other one with the same drive it made f about 230 gigs. I even tried removing the softmod from useing the mechassult and reinstalling hoping it would see the space that is ther but I am still short. Any help on that?

ok so I figured out the whole drive partition problem Iand I have soft modded 3 other boxes with my buddys xbox and config magic with no problems. this is what I did notice that maybe somone may be able to comment on. When I load another eeprom to my buddys chipped box so that I can lock an hd to to it when I am done I return my hd and I notice the first time I boot it because of the different eeprom I think I have to hold down the power button to make sure the chip comes on and allowes me to run config magic again and replace the eeprom to original. If I dont do this and tap the button it wont boot and I get no video signal at all just like the one I have been discussing here with my x3 chip. Now iin my box with the x3 the led on it is blue when I used to press the power and that ment the mod chip was active. If I held it for more then a second it would come on red and would ot be active and I know with the current eeprom that would do this exact same thing now that I seen it repeated in another box. When I turn on my box with the x3 in it the led goes red for a second then blue and I never seen it do that till now. It was either blue\on red\off 1 or the other never this. I am thinking that is telling me my chip is not booting first and that could be my problem. It does not matter if I hold the button or what I do it still boots red first then goes blue. The chip in my buddys is differant and I think has evo8 or somthing. Now if there was a way I could force this chip active I could boot then replace the eeprom. Or if I could replace the eeprom without booting up and running config magic I have its original.
