sweet, cant wait for monday to get here...... But since im a noob im going to ask... Does the Xbox boot from the chip? IM still not understanding..., what am im going to do about not having any of the orig xbox files.....
Does the chip eliminate the need to have the factory files and eeprom?
another question:

yes, the xbox boots right from the chip... and yes you need the eeprom.. but the other xbox files it overrides. not sure about the ftping on the router.. haven't tried that yet..

well just to let you know, I did look up my xbox ver it is a 1.0.
now going back to the newest posting, So how am I going to deal with not having the eeprom.bin file? I did find a MS dash.rar that seems to have all the contents of the C partion.. But From a article I read it said that I need these directories..
C folder has: audio folder, backup folder, fonts folder, xboxdashdata.185ead00 folder, xodash folder, xbox book.xtf file, xbox.xtf file, xboxdash.xbe file <----- Which i have!
E folder has: apps folder, cache folder, dashboard folder, screenshots folder, shadowc folder, skins folder, tdata folder, udata folder <--- Do Not have, But If ther just folders I should be able to Make/Name them.. Right?

no mod chip yet, its only 5pm here so there still a chance it will show today... If not ill probaly have to wait another 4 days since im working 4-12's this week.... before having a chance to actually install it...

hey, the chip will back up the eeprom straight off of the motherboard. You will have to flash the chip with a hacked bios once you recive it, but after this your ready to go! If you need any help on this(flashing)let me know and we can get this done.

ok chip is here & installed... I tryed to power on but i get nothing.. So how do i load the cracked bios & get up and running..

no the xbox was soft modded worked fine, i unlocked the HD and & i got the Blinking power button..... I have a blank 80g drive i plan on using .. I soldered in the chip...... and when powered up i get 3 boots and a blank screen... the old drive has 0 files on it. so no eeprom.bin file.. The power button flashes green / red the mod panel ionistalled out side the case indicates the hard drive is working and reads red on the X panel...

hmmm, make sure that D0 is on there GOOD, that sounds like the problem, also, on the chip, are u getting 2 blue leds? should be a red/green 1 as well. But the Blue ones u HAVE to have. Also if its a 1.6 u need the extra 5v _________________ Hotswap Tutorial|FTP Tutorial|HyperX Flashing Tutorial
