Okay this is my issue. I am trying to install a new hdd and want to use the new 3.1 auto installer. This is my the process I've have used.
By the way im new in the modding world.(1 month)
My order of opperation. I have sid 4.5 with unleasedx on my retail hd.
I have downloaded the xboxhdm and did what i was told, I think.
i have my iso disk and it seems to work.
Then i downloaded the 3.1 torrent and tool my time reading and uderstanding what it said to do. Still confused why I ended up with like
20 + of the same installer folders?????
id proceeded through to the updates then burnded my dvd/rw.
then I went do do the transfer of the info. for my new harddrive and all went well like every thing else. Put the drive into my xbox and it seems to work. I have the retail dash. I went into live with Halo 2 and got my updates and whatever else maps bla bla.
Now for the problem. this is wher i get lost (dont under stand)
I try to put my 4.5 softmod in to it so i can read the new instaler that i have on my disk. Evrtything go normal until it is done installing and have to rebot. Bam nothing but "service xbox" and thats all she wrote. Dam all that and nothing happens. I've done this 2 times now.
I dont feel like doing it anymore. O the first time I got 13# in the corner, maybe error number. i think. secornd time got 14 error. i would appreciate it i could get some help but not alot of jiber japer.
what i could use is a really good tut.or a link to a good one.
like i said im new at this stuff but i feel I'm learning alot pretty fast.

The files that you find in the AID download are WinRAR files that need to be extracted. This will leave you an iso file that you burn to a dvd-r using DVD decrypter or some other iso burning software.
If your new drive works with the retail dash, why not copy the gamesaves over and softmod it? Did you mod the original drive? _________________ Xenium Ice 2.3.1 OS
