hi guys,
i have a problem and i try solve it again , again, it does not work.
i bought one LG COMBO DVDdrive and like to try in the xbox, i use the method in this forum "pc dvd rom use in the xbox" after trying i can play cdr/cdrw/dvdr, i was happy but when i put back in the pc it detect but its like one hand botom of the drive "like shared" what ever disk i put in not reading. whe i put back the same dvd rom in the xbox again it works like charm. what go wrong and i suspect it lock the dvd drive. am i right? need your help guys

i dont think the dvd drive gets locked like a HDD. What i think is xbox bios probably places a firmware or something or reads it as plug and play. What i think you should do is update the firmware of the dvd drive and see if it works in pc. You should be able to update firmware since the dvdrom is detected by pc. _________________

What OS are you using?
No, the DVD drive is not locked in anyway, and if your not flashing the FW in the drive, the xbox won't do anything to it. Assuming its a standard PC dvd rom then you may just need to update your drivers for the drive. _________________ Hotswap|HDD Upgrade|X3 Guide
