Hello, first forum use. To the point. I have been trying to setup a v1.6 xbox with a softmod using AID3.0 that I have successfully downloaded and burnt the ISO of. I have been able to use the SKnave4.5 MA exploit and get Run Linux to work. I have been able to backup my eeprom and my original C: and Install the Evox or the Unleashed softmod. I also have been able to ftp to my box and make a backup of my C: and E: drives. When the softmod install is finished and I reboot my box I get the service required error unless I have the MA game disk still loaded. I have already restored my system several times thinking I had done something wrong and can get back to the original MSdashboard that will boot without MA games disk. I don't know what I need to do next? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

When it prompts you to reboot make sure you remove the game disk, dunno if your doing that.
If you can FTP in, then great, try replacing your C drive with what is in my signature to ensure it has the latest version of the MSdash. _________________ Hotswap|HDD Upgrade|X3 Guide

if you backed them up the way I think you did, C and the eeprom are the fake ones, and whats the error code you get when you try to boot? _________________

I am downloading the MSdash link now. Why would the backups I have taken of my C: E: be fake? If I go thru the softmod removal process everything goes back to normal and I can get the normal MSdash without anything in the DVD drive. My ultimate goal is to get XBMC up and running - do I need to do anything beyond setting up my SKnave4.5 softmod and then ftp over the XBMC files?
