I accidently sighned on to xbl with my softmod active even tho i don't know how because when it's active it usually doesn't let me sign on. Anyway i restored my unmodded backup and i have signed off and on many times no sign of being banned so far. I'm wondering how long it usually takes.

I think you get banned either 2 hours after Bungie detects the mods, or the next time you sign on XBL.

So if you've signed on again with no sign of being banned, you probably didn't. Wink Lucky you.

Completely wrong.

Firstly, Your XBL account is NOT deleted. And your account is NOT banned. What gets banned is the xbl key in your eeprom chip, as well as the unique key of your HDD. If your not baned after a couple days, you probably weren't caught and are fine. Even if you are caught and banned, you can get a new xbox and recover your account, or changed your eeprom/hdd.

right, sorry about the wording. That is what I meant though, but you can get banned from xbl in for a week, month, year, or permenent.
