I would take linux over anything, but I can find alot more apps for windows then I can for Mac. If you know what you are doing on a PC then all the issues most "common" users have to deal with are not an issue. Macs are beautiful, and some a very very very fast, but ALL are rediculously overpriced, and I think more people buy them as a fashion statement or status symbol, then people that actually know how to use one. Telling me I am fool cause I like PC's is pretty lame, saying that you think I am silly for thinking that would be an entire different story. I know there are alot of peeps out there that think they are leet and all hate MS, but without MS, I gaurantee the tech sector wouls not be where it is today. If you really think I am a fool, fine, but please base your opinion on something a little more solid.

Thanks!

chillout guys dont fight over what is better. THey are good and bad in their own ways. MACs are more powerful, but are too expensive. PCs are a bit less powerfull, and inexpensive. If you have the money go ahead and buy a mac; but a pc would not be a bad choise if you cannot afford macs.

LOL....I just was poking you back, to each there own thats what I say. But these new apples are unreal being able to run both MS and OSx at the same time....plus the apples are faster then PC's anyday, the reason I have an apple is I had 3 laptops and well I had to mess with them so much and all the software is such a pain to mess with. Apples clean themselfs, runs fasts as hell and I don't have to do nearly as much as you guys with programs modding my xbox. The apple just easy to use in my book. But these new ones that let you run both with out a need of a PC emu.....up to 2TG space....wow I just lost it...lol.

I just joined the ranks as a mac user.

And man, after using a pc for some many years, marking the 1 yr anniversary to reformat, and other things of that methodical nature. its really just nice to have a machine that runs without a hitch. The only problems you might encounter with programs are really anything opensource that is still in project development.

And its pretty fast to. I still have my Dell XPS Gen 1 3.4 P4 HT as my portable powerhouse, but the mac is just a suave little machine. i mainly got it for school, i need a laptop with more than 3 hours battery, where as the dell would only get 1 1/2 hours new.

The OS and programs are really well thought out being advance and easy all that the same time.

Sure it was more money, but you are paying for a company that has control of its hardware and optimizes every last bit out of it. There is a similar company in every category of retail.

PC are great, there are lots of programs for them, everyone is familiar with it. Its just the mac user is looking for more out of there computing experience than headaches. (I know everyone gets the BSOD on MS, i still do). Same with linux, I really like the SuSE distro, the interfaces are clean and structured beautifully. Its definitely holds it own against windows, without a doubt. Since its open source, I am guessing there are more problems (legally possibly, and I am unsure about community development, I am sure it would be a success no doubt.) in creating a linux specific laptop comparable to Apple and there hardware/software.

Its all about personal preference (and also how much is left on the old Visa) but to each his own.

But in my opinion, I don't seeing myself buying another PC in the future anytime. I will more than likely stick it out with Apple.

Just my two cents.

BTW, I purchased the Macbook 13.3 2.0ghz Intel Duo Core and bought another 2 gb of ram for it.

Yes but not the same. that is crap for you are ether in one or the other (not able to click and drag a file from windows to the OS. The other big problem is that Virtual PC runs a 1/3 or what is could for the apple has to emu running like a PC. there is even something better called parallels windows and that is far better then Vir PC. But no where near the stuff you could do.
