ok well im sure that people have seen the tutorial for making your xbox LED light half red half green. Well i was wondering which wires on the connector do what. Like what do each of the wires do, or in other words why does switching wires 7 and 8 make it half red? if some one could please help me it would be great. Thanx in advance

Blank? Cut the wires.

Orange? You need to activate both the wires no matter which ones are on. So you could just bridge the 2 points with some conductive ink, or solder a small wires across them.

No, because there are just 2 LEDS, each one able to make 2 colors(three if both colors are one at the same time)

You could, yes. buy 4 3mm and replace the 2. you may have trouble getting it to look the way your intending though.

if you want an idea for a jewel led mod, you can use a plastic lid to a container and poke little holes in it to set the leds in, theres many ideas and short cuts you can come up with if you have imagination, if you want a reflective surface on the lid, just use mac tack, or foil stickers etc... or make a custom image and glue it on if your gonna use a clear jewel, nothing is real difficult when it comes to led modding

Just lay it out and plan a head instead of diving in blind, if you want amulti-colored eject mod, i suggest getting the multi-color leds, they are just a tad bit more money, but the effect can be worth it, I do remember seeing a tut for that a while back. Just not sure where, im sure googling it will help.

then you probably want the tricolor led your standard RGB led, but wireing it in is going to be a chore, you may have to wire manual switches to change the colors.
