Is any know how to install 500gig hitachi hard drive on xbox using xboxhd tool? Keep getting error when I tried to activate F drive. Either I enter yes or no to active F drvive. Is it because my disk is too big?? or there is a better tool than xboxhd that can handle 500gig? Thanks

Is ur xbox hardmodded? if so just use AID 3.0 With The 3.4 Update? _________________

For a 500 gig you may want to use a program for the xbox called xbpartition. I understand that it will let you change the size of the clusters for the drive, and if your getting as large as 500 you would want the large cluster sizes. _________________ Hotswap|HDD Upgrade|X3 Guide

It's softmodded AID 4.5. But I'm trying with setup my 500gig disk using my PC. I'm using xboxhdm, and it gave me an error after I hit either yes or no to activate F drive.

You're going to have problems if your trying to get a 500 working with xboxhdm in the future, however, what version are you using? If nothing else don't create the F drive with xboxhdm, just create it with your dashboard or aid _________________ Hotswap|HDD Upgrade|X3 Guide

well it could be that xboxhdm can only handle so much, and 500 gig is a tad too big to do that, You have to get a mod chip if you want to use a 500 gig hdd, but if you managed to get it formated and locked, you will have problems with harddrive fragging and getting corrupt.
With the mod chip you can put it in your xbox and do what greven mentioned which will prevent it from fragging. _________________
