i just downloaded aid 3.0 put on addons then updated to aid 3.04 straight.
my problem is clicking a program to install, the "Finished" dialog box automatically appears.
i have tried several times, sometimes the app/emu install starts (taskbar and all, sometimes the "Finished" dialog box just appears. both on the same program. tried several programs (configmagic, PBL, FBAXXX), deleted and reinstalled.
basically i would need to reboot several times to get a successful install
many thanks

Just to clarify, the disk boots in the xbox, you get the yellow menus, but when you choose a program to install it says installed immediately and it doesn't actually install to the hard drive?
If you use the file explorer from the AID disk, do can you see the .zip files in the directories?
Can you try it in a different xbox?
What drive are you installing it to _________________

I am actually successful in installing the various programs like xmbc configmagic, PBL, linksxbox etc.
Usually at F:/apps. But the problem is it is a hit or miss affair when installing. It either starts installing or the "Finished" dialog box appears, even on a clean directory. Once it fails I have to reboot the disk in order to try again.
Tried various programs, I even tried installing then deleting it to try and install it again just to see if it will happen.
I will try it on other xboxes soon , that is why Im trying to find out why it happens because its quite a hassle to pick out programs. So what I did was install it all then delete what I dont want.

You could always try a new burn. Use good media like Memorex and burn at the lowest possible speed you can, it may be a read issue from the disk. _________________
