well what I mean is that the xbox games executable files (.xbe) and such cannot be viewed on a pc and what I want to do is make it possible to copy a game from my HDD on the XBOX to the H Question DD on the pc

yes I think I can FTP the game from xbox to pc HDD but because my pc cannot see .xbe files there is no way of telling if the file copied right so I need something which will enable me to see those files so that I can both keep them on my pc and copy them to DVD for safe keeping Cool

When you FTP in, do you get a folder listing? You should be able to see the folders no problem because of the built in Linux translater on the xbox and FTP. When you transfer to your computer, everything gets converted to NTFS/Fat32 on the fly, then you use a program like CXBoxTool2 or Qwix to make the game back into a FATX ISO that the xbox can read properly.

I can see .xbe files just fine on my WinXP SP2 machine(see the attached image).

Make sure that you have your windows settings set to see file extensions.
