Ok just what the title states...I am looking for a DVD drive. Mine is starting to act up and its a tommy. So I would like to get anything else but another tommy. Would trade you my DVD drive (for parts or fix and resale it) and cash for a new one. _________________ The mighty V6 Passat came to chew bubble gum and kick%^* and shes all out of bubble gum!

I've got a Phillips drive that is in perfect condition. I pulled it out of my Halo machine when I modded it with the X3 chip. I installed my spare sammy in it.
The manufacture date is March 2004 so it's not too old at all. I am guessing it has very little hours used as when I purchased the Halo machine (used) a few months ago there were only five game saves on the machine. I never played it unmodded so it basically sat in my office for a month or so until I modded it.
I also have an unmodded Samsung SD-616. You would have to do some modding to it before you could use it in your machine. My brother got it from someone and never bothered to mess with it so I have no use for it. It's just collecting dust as is the Phillips
Let me know if you are interested and I'll hold it for you for how ever long you need me to.

No problem man. I did that to my brothers tommy and he got a few weeks out of it, so you will hopefully get some response. I have also known people to make voltage adjustments, but you can easily burn out the laser totally if you aren't careful.
