I have already softmodded my v 1.1 xbox with original hdd using sid 4. Chapter 7 of aid manual tells me to install ms dashboard. Did sid 4 remove this from my xbox and do I really need to format my c drive? If I do, is that why chapter 9 is telling me to install softmod again? I guess I am confused because I don't understand why I would have to re-softmod a softmodded xbox. Also, should I just prepare my e drive for putting all of my games and apps on? thanks for any help that can be provided.

well if you already have M$ Dash working, then there is no need to reinstall it. And you don't need to resoftmod the xbox. Just make sure if you backed up the C drive, then you should be ok. _________________ Moddingbandit

Thank you Moddingbandit. I guess I was confused because the manual starts off by telling you the machine has to be modded first, then explains preparing the hdd and installing the apps before a section about softmodding. Reading it this way makes it appear that you have to do these steps and then softmod again. Hopefully AID will be as easy and straightforward as SID was. Thanks again.

you need to cold boot with the game you modded your xbox with and bring up the softmod menu, cause aid alone wont boot with error 13 _________________
