well, it is a xecuter flashbios 3.0.3 utility, do u think it is not accepting the other bios because they are not for xecuter. should i try a xecuter bios, if so where should i find it?

flashbios will work for almost any chip, and the x3 information is only for the xecuter 3 bios. Did the Duox come with any documentation for how to switch bioses? _________________ Hotswap|HDD Upgrade|X3 Guide

no it was installed by someone. he gave no documentation. i think i installed evox on it and then mediacenter

So apparently there is no protection on your chip, so make sure that your set to a 512k bank and your flashing with a 512k bios file. _________________ Hotswap|HDD Upgrade|X3 Guide

The switch will allow you to change to a 512k bios bank instead of a 1mb. Make sure its set to the 512k bank, power on, and flash with a 512k bios through your network. _________________ Hotswap|HDD Upgrade|X3 Guide

i think i need a 512kb bios, i tried 256 and 1024 through network flash. where can i find this?

Well, no, you don't need that.
Have you donwloaded AID? If you have there are tons of bioses that come with it.
If you've extracted it, simply go to that directory, look in the Auto.Installer.Deluxe.v3.0.Xbox-Hq directory, then BIOS, the 512k. Use something like an M8.
