Posted: Sun Aug 06, 2006 3:36 am Post subject: help with softmod installer 4 n-knave/ AId3.0
Okay I'm softmodding a console that already had a softmod on it. AID 3.0 would not boot I'm trying to burn my 4th time using lowwest speed with Alchol and then dvd decryptor. I'll post if one of those worked, but right now I'm sitting in the SID 4 screen and nothing I can do. It claims there is no MS backup so I went to create one and it says it failed cause it "FOUND MODDED FILES". Then I go and uninstall the softmod and it claims "E:BACKUP\MS NOT VAILD" So what do I do? AID 3.0 could probably solve my problem but it won't boot...

you need to update your ms-dash and delete any back up files on the xbox harddrive like E/backup and C/backup in your file explorer in the softmod menu. _________________

And how would I update my ms dash?

When I try and connect to live through a game yes. I have no ms dash so I can't update through there... I just sold halo 2 like a week ago... So when I try and connect to live through a game (I have to recover account since my 360 account hasn't been used on my xbox) it goes to error 21 and it claims my box needs service.

I was just asking if you had a game XBL game and you went and tried to update the xbox before i could tell you remove the softmod first, but im sure this would have happened any ways, the game you are using to soft mod stick that in and cold boot the game.
we will have to ftp in a new M$ dash, if you have the means to FTP? _________________
