I went to proceed with taking the ide off th dvd drive and when i put it in the new hard drive the stock HD started ticking. Now My Box doesn't boot up at all and error 7. The Error 07 is BS cuz i work with PC Alot and a ticking HD means It's shot, so WTF do i do now? And the new hard drive doesn't want to lock in computer cuz it's says the drive is frozen and i don't know how to bypass that, and believe me when i say this, i've tried everything, turning auto detection off and still i can't lock it!

check your IDE and power connections on your harddrive in the xbox, wiggle them around and snug them in. _________________

In addition to those, if its saying that the hard drive is frozen, you may be able to unfreeze it with a program called atapwd. Try a google search, you should be able to find some helpful info. _________________ Hotswap|HDD Upgrade|X3 Guide

No My Hard Drive is fried, it ticks, doesn't boot worth shit!
Basicly The program pooched the drive.
i did everything 2 the T, using the how to use Chimp 2.4
Disconnect the ide from the dvd and pluged it in the new drive as soon as the program started, when i did it my xbox froze and the stock hard drive fried, and it ticks when booting up, which means the Hard drive is fried!
The new drive is a western digital 120 gb
Another thing i don't get, is i had no problem with my other xbox that has a 160 gb HD in it, it lock right away with no problems, it just keep saying the HD is Frozen but with 160gb it didn't say anything. _________________ Xbox V 1.4
