Did you try static settings and hooking the xbox right to the PC?

Would that be the 192.168.0.2 setting? I only get that when I boot from the disc, but after reading through the posts, I guess I'm not supposed to do it like that.

I'll attempt to connect it directly to the lappy, and see how that works out...

Really wanna get this 40gig in there, lol

When I go Xbox to PC via ethernet, it doesn't even show as I have a cable plugged in on lappy.

Still can't get CHIMP to work...

If I'm in AID 4.20 disc, how do I change the static IP address? It's stuck at .0.2...

That's all I need to figure out, and I should be able to follow the guides to finish up... that's all I'm hanging at right now.

What type of ethernet cable are you using? Straight or crossover? Remember, it must be crossover for direct connections. If you're using a straight it will not recognise you have it plugged in.

Ok, after talking to DJB (the creator of AID) and having a look myself, there is no option or setting in AID you can use to change the IP.

You can change the IP in the settings of EvoX though. Why not install that as a dash, change the settings and try again?

@link433,
If you have a router, and the router's DHCP server support manual DHCP assignment, you can use the XBOX's mac address to give your XBOX any address in your network range you want. Albeit your AID iso should contain the DHCP update. Well if not, and your connected with a cross cable, set your PC's IP to 192.168.0.xxx.
CHeers,
JJ
