I just installed my new 300 gig hard drive using aid 3.0 to my xbox with a zenium soderless chip. I have everything installed and everything is working great but I seem to be short on the gigs.
What do i need to do to correct my hard drive before I start adding my roms ect.. Baby steps are needed Ty

I don't have time right now to make a tutorial (i.e. give you baby steps). You need to install xbconfig (from A.I.D.) and fool around with the partition to make F: have the majority of your size (don't bother trying to reduce the other drives, just install the rest of the free memory of F:.

I'm not very familiar with your particular mod chip but it sounds to me like you need the correct BIOS to recognize your G drive. AID 3.0 will automatically allocate the right amount of space to each drive if you have the correct BIOS. F will have 120G and G will get the rest. When you get over 200-250GB you need to have the G drive. One large F on a drive that size and you will begin to have problems handling the data as the drive gets full. It will get errors and then you will have to reformat. It has something to do with the way the info is allocated to the sectors on the hard drive. I don't know the specifics as to why but I know from personal experience this was a problem on 8-10 other Xboxes my friend and I had done with drives of that size and larger.

Heh, EvoxM8+ is your problem... but let's not go there.
Flash the bios with one that has an LBA48 code written into it. Most bioses are correctly labled, or come with a .nfo. Check the Advanced section of AID and check the Flash list under Bios Flash. I believe there's an EvoxM8+ bios on that list that says "With LBA48 support" just make sure when you boot your chip the flash protect is off (you must do this via the Xenium OS menu before you select which kernel to launch). Then, select your BIOS via AID and select to flash. Should only take a second. The xbox will reboot and your drives should be properly allocated. _________________ "That which does not kill you, only makes you stronger."
4 steps forward and 20 steps back. In my next lifetime, I will have a smart neighbor that can do all this without blinking an eye. On my xenium os 2.31, I can't find where to check if my flash protect is off. Under advance I can't find anything anthing about flash list!!
What's the deal about 265k,512k, 1 gig bios and what is an .nfo and am I supposed to be able to read it because I have tried to open it up in the past and I have had no luck!!!

Yeah AngelosDracul is right it's easy. The different size bioses will depend on the chip size on your mod chip. If you go to www.modchipstore.com they have a manual you can download on that particular chip. I briefly read it and it looks like your chip takes any size BIOS you want to put on it. As far as I know there are no advantages of putting a larger or smaller version of the same BIOS on a chip. As for the .nfo I'm not sure. I'm personally a fan of the Evox M8 Plus BIOS but there's 2 versions. One is for hard drives under 137 GB and one is for over 137GB. If you didn't flash the BIOS for 137 GB+ AID won't recognize the G: drive. Once you get the BIOS on there AID will format the G drive and you'll be good to go. The manual for AID gives you a list of the all the BIOS.

Sorry, lasny, but that's probably all you're gonna get out of that drive. Most drives loose a lot of gigs after being formatted. Partition space and what not. And you also have to figure, a gig for the XYZ drives, 5 gigs for E, and a gig for C (just round up... that's what the partition table is doing). The rest? All lost, m8. Can't really be recovered because... well, it's not lost, lol. It's there, just holding up the rest of the drive. _________________ "That which does not kill you, only makes you stronger."
