ok ive heard that you can soak the jewel in easy off and then rub the green off. but will it take off the silver xbox logo as well?

More than likely, yes, the silver would be eroded away, too. To keep the silver lettering, use high grit wet sand paper, or brasso and alot of elbow grease.
I would be weary about soaking the jewel in any cleaners, because they could cloud or ruin the plastic.

My personal preference is acetone free nail polish remover. Takes much less, but still some, elbow grease.

Uhhh, I wouldn't trust the cheese thing.

All the green stuff is is a layer of paint, so any way that you can remove paint will work here. But like impwiz said, you may damage the jewel.

That was a cheesey mod...

Best results I have seen is barasso. I used non acetone nail polish remover and did get good results too...first time I used gas...worked perfectly, then after that I started getting cloudy results...not to mention a killer buzz Shocked

Hey, Guys instead of cheese you could use a birthday candle and drip the melted wax in the xbox letters. just use a razor blade and scrape off any excess wax. then you can just scrape it out after or before painting. Razz

Bird shit will work for sure, if it can oxidize car paint, you know it will work on an Xbox jewel. Laughing Just kidding, just poking fun at the whole cheese thing,lol........
