I had soft modded my xbox and loaded AID 3.0 and everything was going fine. Then i stupidly tried to reformat the hard-drive to try to get more space (I was only getting like 3-4 available GB). I restarted my Xbox and Boom! I got slapped with Error 13. My Original games still run but I can't access saves. Now I know I should've backed up the MS Dashboard onto C
Anyway is there a quick fix to this? Maybe just popping in Halo 2 for a new dash? I've been trying CD-R and DVD+R versions of AID 3.0 but it will never load. I see you guys always talking about hotswaps and frankly the tutorial scares me. I'd like to avoid this if possible.
Also another thing. If I ever get the dashboard back will I have to re-run the Splinter Cell exploit? I don't have Action Replay but I think I had backed up the exploited saves on G: drive (Possibly dashboard too, I remember backing up whenever I was supposed to)
Thanks for reading. I hope somebody can help me.

Yes, try going onto Xbox Live and and see if it'll let you. If you get on live, your dash will be back up. Then just run the saves either fromt he G partition or try to get it onto a memory card. _________________ Moddingbandit

Thanks for responding,
I have a few questions
1. Will I need an Xbox Live account to download the 5920 dash?
2. If I do manage to get the updated dash will I have to soft mod it again because everything is blocked?
3. Is hotswapping as hard as it seems or do most people do it easily?
4. While hotswapping would it be easy to just swap out for a bigger hard drive?
If anyone else has any ideas on how I can get my xbox running again, I'd greatly appreciate it.
EDITED:
I've tried Halo 2 with the ethernet plugged in and not plugged in, both times it would just restart Halo 2.
So it seems like hotswapping is the only way.
Since it seems that hotswapping is almost the same as exchanging a softmodded hard-drive, would it be just as easy to switch out to a larger hard drive?
Also...Anyone had any experience with hotswapping? Is it easier than it looks?
