hey guyz i need some help, i am trying to update my eeprom using config magic but it doesnt seem to be working, cuz after it sayz it is updated i lock the drive and reboot, but i keep getting a error 6, so i use xboxhdm with new eeprom and unlock it and relock with old eeprom and i good as new again, does ny one now what the deal is, pirrup hellllllllllllp, i know you know alot about eeprom, i want to get back on live again, i have never been bann'd just never got back on after i modded modded my box.
plus i need a eeprom for a v1.0 ntsc xbox that has never been on live, thanks

What steps did you do? I've done this with no problem at all. Do you have the new eeprom that you want to change all ready to go? Did you follow any specifc tutorial?
It sounds like it is locking with the new eeprom, but not writing the new eeprom to eeprom chip. Did you select "update xbox eeprom", or just "load eeprom from file"?

it was another eepom fix tut on hq, but its not the same dirrections, ill try ttry that one, but no i need a eeprom for a 1.0 xbox that has not been banned, or i can just null it out, and use a nulled eeprom _________________ Please post all PC Questions at PC-HQ.com

Not entirely sure, but do you need the same version? I was under the impression that an eeprom was an eeprom, as I used a 1.3 eeprom in my 1.6 and it worked fine. _________________ Hotswap|HDD Upgrade|X3 Guide
