Hey guys.

As some of you know, I had to mod another Xbox recently, due to my old one finally dying. I decided to go the Xecuter 2.6 CE Solderless Kit for my first attempt, and everything went well Smile

Here is some pictures that I took, enjoy...

The tutorial I used was great, it was Team Xecuter's own guide:
http://www.team-xecuter.com/xapter/

The best new feature I love about this is having the 2nd BIOS bank with FlashBIOS on it, so I can easily change the main (bank 1) BIOS any time I like. 512kb bank size for each BIOS is nice too Smile

lol yep! Easy as pie, and I prefer this chip to many, who just want a basic and useful chip but still very powerful. I am leaning towards buying an X#/LCD screen for my Clear case soon.

Yea I thought about an X3, but they were too costly, and the X2 did everything I needed.

Very damn good. Atlaest I know I can help some friends out now that have a 1.0-1.5 Xbox. Dunno about the 1.6 solderless, I'd probably give that a go with help.

The 1.6 solderless is a pain in the ass. You saw that, lol. I can still help people with the 1.6's, event hough I hate doing the damned rebuild. It's so horrid!

As for me, I think I'ma reinstall my chip today or tomorrow. I kinda miss it. But I'ma redo mine with solder, just to keep the old skills handy. And, of course, to show DJB up, lol Very HappyRazz

Universal 1.6 solderless adapter? Do you mean for example the ones that Xenium uses? The only two chips I'm familiar with that have Solderless installs are the Xenium and Xecuter, but I wouldn't be surprised if SmartXX has it too.

Those two adapters are pretty much universal. They all use the same pins, and most of the chips now adays have Pin headder sockets. So if you have a Xenium, you can switch right over to Xecuter without buying the adapter. They fit and switch. My and HellStorm do it all the time. He has Xenium, which came with the Xapter, lol, and I have Xecuter, which came with the NEW Xapter (the blue one with the little lightbulb that blinks?)

I dunno if the blue xapter blinks or not, from memory I didn't see it happen with my setup, and it was the see-through blue one.

So, what adapter would you guys recommend for a 1.6? Even though I probably won't get around to doing one for a while, I'd just like to know what the easiest adapter would be.
